We have just launched our CIFI Sustainability Report 2022! We are pleased to share how we have worked in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the United Nations. Our commitment is reflected in aligning our investments and activities with these global goals.
Focusing on sectors such as renewable energy, sustainable infrastructure, and social development, we have directly contributed to several SDGs, including SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), among others.
Our commitment translates into tangible results. During 2022, our projects have avoided the emission of more than 1,142,380 tons of CO2, contributing significantly to climate change mitigation. In addition, we have generated more than 18,000 sustainable jobs in the communities where we operate, promoting economic and social growth.
We also highlight that our renewable energy projects have generated more than 1,800,000 Megawatts / Hour (MWh) of clean energy, contributing to the diversification of the energy matrix and reducing dependence on non-renewable sources. We have also promoted initiatives in the telecommunications sector, installing 1,280 towers, providing access to communication services to previously disconnected communities, and promoting digital inclusion and equal opportunities.
