Panama City, June 11, 2026 – CIFI reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive social development through the donation of feminine hygiene supplies to the Panama City Mayor’s Office, aimed at strengthening well-being and self-care programs for adolescents and women in vulnerable situations.
The donation is part of a public-private collaboration focused on promoting women’s health and access to basic hygiene products, as well as advancing social education initiatives in communities across the capital district.
The supplies were distributed through the program “Connecting Knowledge: Cycle, Culture, and Care,” an initiative led by the Directorate of Culture and Civic Education and the Office for Women and Equity of the Panama City Mayor’s Office, which seeks to create spaces for learning and support for adolescents.
“At CIFI, we believe that public-private partnerships are key to advancing initiatives that generate a positive impact on people’s lives. This donation is a tangible way to contribute to the well-being, health, and dignity of adolescents and women in our communities,” said Chantal Henry, Human Resources Manager at CIFI.
As part of the implementation of this program, a recent session was held at John Locke Bilingual School in Chilibre, where students participated in workshops focused on women’s health, self-esteem, and overall well-being. During the activity, the supplies donated by CIFI were distributed, directly contributing to the initiative’s social impact.
The event also included cultural and educational activities aimed at strengthening values such as respect, empathy, and solidarity, as well as initiatives to prevent bullying. As a closing activity, participants attended a Cine-Cultura session featuring the short film “Don’t Play With Me,” encouraging reflection on safe environments in educational settings.
Through initiatives like this, CIFI contributes to creating opportunities that improve communities’ quality of life by fostering access to information, tools, and safe spaces for the holistic development of adolescents in Panama.
These initiatives are part of the organization’s commitment to promoting social values, gender equity, and sustainable development, in line with its Corporate Social Responsibility strategy.
