Oversight Bodies
CIFI has a robust organizational structure inspired by transparency, efficiency, and accountability, comprised by its Board of Directors and four specialized Committees. CIFI’s governance structure contemplates a streamlined, solid decision-making process for relevant decisions subject to full Board review and approval, including ESG strategies and policies.
Through its Board of Directors, CIFI secures the necessary resources to constantly improve its Environmental and Social Management System and communicates its commitments to all its stakeholders. The Board and its Committees actively oversee the portfolio's performance concerning environmental and social risks throughout the year.
The governance structure is designed to follow the best practices of the strongest financial institutions worldwide, including independence standards for Board members and adequate responsibilities and oversight capabilities for standing Board Committees. The Board and its Committees are integrated by highly experienced and reputable professionals that provide the organization with robust counsel in risk management, sustainability strategies and impact investment matters.
Policy Framework
CIFI’s Policy Framework incorporates the key policies, plans, and standards adopted by the Board of Directors to advance its commitment to sustainability. These rules apply to how CIFI works internally and how it carefully reviews and approves new investments, helping ensure each project meets strong environmental and social standards.
ESG Policy Statement
CIFI conducts comprehensive assessments of environmental, social, and governance factors during the investment process and proposes strategies to minimize their risks and impacts.
