My Interests - Concerts
Elizabeth and myself like to go to concerts when we can. A
great CD is good to listen to when relaxing or being on a long
car journey, however you cannot beat the atmosphere of actually
being in a large venue and listening to the band play live.
It is also a great opportunity to separate the "real artists"
from those that simply cannot sing live. Too many singers and
bands rely on the fact that their sound can be mixed and made to
sound good. Only true artists can actually go out there on stage
and sound as good, if not better in person.
We're also both big fans of comedy and once again we will
happily settle down and watch a DVD or on television some of our
favourite comedians. Actually getting the opportunity to go and
see the same comedian in the flash and on stage is so much
better. Although we never attempt to be sitting in the first few
rows.
Going to see a comedian we admire is one thing, being part of
his act because he/she has decided to pick on us is something
entirely different!
