If you don't want to work through the Manual Instructions for creating Windows 7/8/Vista USB Installation Media you can use the newly released tool from Microsoft.
If you wish to use this tool you will need access to a Windows .ISO (rather than Windows installation DVD). If you download your OS then this is almost certainly the format you received your file in.
1. Download the Windows 7 USB/DVD Tool and install it.
2. Run the program. You will be prompted to browse to the location of your .iso image:
Click Next
3. The next page of the wizard will appear. From this screen select either DVD or USB - as this guide is for USB, click on USB.

4. Select your USB device from the drop-down menu. Remember that anything on this device will be lost. Click on Begin Copying once you are ready.

5. It's time to grab a coffee. It will take a few minutes to complete this process.

6. Once completed close the application rather than clicking on "Start Over".
You now have a bootable Windows USB installation media. Remember to set your PC BIOS to boot from USB.
Usually a couple of options in the BIOS - Boot from USB, select yes and then put USB at the top of the list of bootable devices.
