Anarchy Online - Fixer's Grid Quest Part 2
The second mission is to acquire some "wafer
thin nanocrystals" from Brenda Diamond.
You will find Brenda outside the city of Home
in Broken Shores (430, 2200). She is near the SE corner of the
eastern tower.
Have a chat with her, the strange conversation
will go something like this:
You: Hello
Brenda Diamond turns to you and looks deep
into your eyes Brenda Diamond is still looking...
Brenda Diamond is staring still... You are really starting to
feel uncomfortable under the steadfast gaze of the witch, when
she finally speaks...
Brenda Diamond: I hope I meet you in good health traveller, or
should I say "a fixer on a mission"
Brenda Diamond: Can I in any way be of service?
You: Ofoz sent me to
you.
Brenda Diamond: Ofoz!
Brenda Diamond: Pfffft!!
Brenda Diamond: That ignorant, self-centred hobo, he really does
think the rest of the world is supposed to be constantly
occupied with satisfying his petty little projects!
Brenda Diamond mumbles something about vasps
and Ofoz and at the same time makes some mysterious signs in the
air with her hands
Brenda Diamond: There! That's better.
Brenda Diamond: So, I presume you are here to get some of my
home grown stuff?
You: yes
Brenda Diamond: Show
me the money then dear.
Brenda Diamond: 50000 credits and an ear of a blind bat, no more
no less!
Brenda Diamond: Well... I guess you can keep the ear yourself
and chew on it for good luck, but get me the money and you will
give you what you need.
Brenda Diamond: There you go. Now go back and tell Ofoz I hope
he is feeling real miserable.
Brenda Diamond: Good luck!
Trade her 50k credits and she will give you
"wafer thin nanocrystals". Return to Ofoz in Borealis and trade
him the nanocrystals, his reply:
Ofoz: You actually found some?
Cool!
You will now get the mission complete message
and additionally you will be given the next part - to obtain a
bundle of nanotubes.
Now unfortunately this is probably the least
fun part of the quest, do you remember
Dodga's Quest?
Well if you do you'll remember that one of the parts you needed
to find in part one of his quest was a bundle of nanotubes,
that's right, you are going to have to go and kill lots of bots
again just to get this component.
I can promise you it will feel like this
particular component is dropping less than the others, I've been
assured that all parts have an equal chance to drop but because
you are only looking for one of the possible eight items it will
feel like it is taking forever. If you are yet to do Dodga's
quest, click here and read through the first part, this will tell you how
to get the nanotubes.
Once you've found the nanotubes return them to
Ofoz, you'll get the mission complete message and he will say
the following:
Ofoz: Now I need the latest AI
processing cube from ICC to complete the nanocrystal.
You obtain the AI cube as part of the "exotic
doll" from NPC "A Spoiled Brat" in Omni-Entertainment (946,
360).
WARNING! The Spoiled Brat De-Spawns at the
completion of the following conversation. She is on a 10 minute
spawn timer, so expect to queue to speak to her, also expect
queue jumpers and those people "better than you" who shouldn't
have to wait in line to just speak to her without waiting their
turn:
You: Hello
You: Can I interest you in some toys?
A Spoiled Brat: Toys! Yes!!
I LOVE toys! Do you have any toys for me?
You: Yes, I have some toys.
A Spoiled Brat:
Dolls....please tell me you have dolls, that is what I like
most.
A Spoiled Brat: I collect them.
You: Yes, I have some dolls.
A Spoiled Brat: Show
me what doll you have and if it is one I am missing, I might
trade you for one of my old ones.
Left click on the Leet Doll you previously
obtained and then right click on A Spoiled Brat.
A Spoiled Brat: Oh! I have
been looking for one like these for AGES!! Pleeease, can I have
it? I can trade this one here, it is hi-tech and all. Cries,
pukes, pisses and drops chocolate flavoured excrements in four
different colours while doing your homework for you!
A Spoiled Brat: Thank you! If you were not so common looking I
would invite you home for milk and cookies, but my mom would get
mad and have the servants poke your eyes out.
A Spoiled Brat: There, take this one, I was bored with it
anyway. And with that the brat runs off and disappears into one
of the more impressive looking skyscrapers of the city.
To complete this part of the quest all you
need do is return the doll to Ofoz, however please, please,
please read the following before doing so:
THE REMAINDER OF THE QUEST CONSISTS OF RAPID
TRANSIT TO MULTIPLE NPCs! YOU ONLY HAVE 12 MINUTES TO GET TO
EACH. IF YOU FAIL, YOU WILL LOSE EVERYTHING AND MUST START THE
QUEST FROM THE BEGINNING AGAIN!!!
With this in mind, once you are sure you're
ready, that you are not about to drop connection (Dial-Up users
please note) and that the servers are "feeling" stable trade the
doll to Ofoz and move on to part three of the quest - The Great
Race!!
